Today, Cross-Country Flagman walked in the sunshine with little wind!

During a break, Mark and Ashley stopped and asked what we were doing. They, and Briley who was in the back seat, listened with interest and we all prayed together. Ashley gave Pastor Chick a bottle of water and Briley gave him one dollar.

Today’s walk, along the edge of I-40. was difficult. The first part had some snow along the edge, especially behind the guardrails. After a couple of miles, he got beyond the snow, but the rugged ground on the other side of the guardrails made walking even more difficult.

He was glad to see Ash Fork, where he stopped walking for the day, after 12.1 miles.

We opted to eat lunch in Ash Fork, where we met some people interested in the walk. Andre received a walk card to keep, as he told him and his mother, Felicia, about the walk.

A customer eating in the same restaurant asked “Did I see you walking through New Mexico?” He is a truck driver and thought he had seen Freedom Walker walking. He also accepted a walk card so he could learn more about this walk.
