This morning we woke up to find snow on the ground – and on the car.

As we drove onto the main road, we were pleased to find that it to be only wet and the only precipitation was light drizzle.

After walking awhile, snow started falling lightly.

Just before Freedom Walker reached the finish line a rural mail carrier drove by me as I was waiting and asked ‘walking coast to coast?” He was impressed, saluted him, and said “keep it up!”

At lunch, three sitting near us learned about the walk.

After lunch, we decided to drive to a car wash, and received a phone call. A Navajo man named Tony, who had seen Freedom Walker walking (and the car) and read about him in the Navajo Times, went and bought some fruit to bring to us. He and his family then returned to the road he saw us on and looked for us, but did not find us, so he drove back to Flagstaff and called to see where we were. They met us at the car wash, where we visited for awhile. Thank you, Tony, Geri, and Mena, for your interest, support, and the fruit!

After entering Coconino National Forest, I walked with Freedom Walker some. One time, as we approached the pace car, I noticed something on the windshield, and found that someone had visited the car while I was walking the other direction and left a little cash on the windshield.

After seeing some dead coyotes, as well as their droppings along the road, I stopped walking with him so I could support him with the car more closely.

A deputy sheriff stopped and told Freedom Walker that if he needs anything to call, to be safe, and “God bless you!”

While in Flagstaff, we also visited the Calvary Chapel. Phyllis and Pastor Steve shared interest in this walk.

We met Rick, his wife, and dog (in their RV door) who expressed support of this walk.

Lorraine Tsosie said that she is a Child of God and will remember us in prayer.
