Day #154 Continuing West Towards Santa Rosa, NM

Today was clear and sunny – with a cold wind in the face.

There was a beautiful early morning sunrise. And today is the first time I saw cactus in New Mexico – a prickly pear.

Along the walk on I-40, there were many waves, salutes, and honks (mostly by truck drivers). Since I was able to catch some of the honks on video, they can be watched on our YouTube video for today.

After the walk, we met Debby, her daughter Trisha, and granddaughter Aubryna. They were very interested and supportive of the walk and said “Everyone needs God in their lives”.

We also found a map on the wall of Route 66.
