When we arrived, Mayor Verlita Meade welcomed Freedom Walker to Vian.

A 40 day prayer guide for our nation was presented to Mayor Verlita Meade, with Vice-Mayor Dennis Mitchell by her side, as a memento of this historic walk.

Afterwards, Mayor Meade, Vice-Mayor Mitchell, Mayor Meade’s husband, Eddie, and Amie Ramer with Sequoyah County Times, visited.
