Pastor Chick stopped by the office of Edmond Life & Leisure and spoke with Steve Gust, who really enjoyed meeting Pastor Chick. He had seen him on TV and said that this was like interactive TV!
He also stopped by Edmond Sun and made plans for Monday.

Fern Ellmore, Loy Don, and Ivan Shafer said they saw Pastor Chick on TV and wanted to buy our lunch – but the manager already did!

The Bonilla family saw our shirts and said “God bless you!” We got talking and we took pictures of each person with Cross-Country Flagman. Then they offered to buy our meal. Since the manager gave us a free meal, they paid for the next one!

Mayor Charles Lamb met and welcomed Pastor Chick to Edmond, OK. The two exchanged mementos. Mayor Lamb gave Pastor Chick a City of Edmond coin and Pastor Chick gave Mayor Lamb a 40 day prayer guide for our nation.

Elaine and Cassidy stopped because Cassidy wanted to share her snack with Freedom Walker.
Karen Deatherage had seen Freedom Walker a couple of days ago and called to talk last night. Then she found him this morning, bringing us fruit!
Barbara stopped to ask what the purpose of his walk is. She then expressed her support saying “I love prayer! i admire what you are doing. Thank you and God bless you!”
Tim, with his mother Anna, stopped and said he had seen us on Channel 9 news and has been following us. He said “What you are doing is important! Thank you!”
As Pastor Chick walked down a road with a lot of traffic, a man stopped and inquired about the walk across the lanes. The traffic light changed and he had to move down the road, Pastor Chick jogged to catch up with him and gave him one of his cards with our website on it so he could learn more.

A State Trooper and Guthrie Policeman stopped to talk to the walkers. Concerned for their safety, he told them they must walk in the grass.

Vice-Mayor John Wood visited with Pastor Chick before being presented with a memento of this historic walk, a 40 day prayer guide for our nation, to him.

Lauren Truitt, who had called to express her appreciation yesterday morning, finally caught up with and met Pastor Chick and Daniel Contestabile.
John Kelly is also a veteran. He first recognized the car, having seen it on TV.
After some took a break at Hoboken Coffee Roasters, we joined them there to continue the walk and met Trey.
Charlene Ward offered to help us with anything we may need.
