This morning we were met early in the morning by people that saw Pastor Chick on TV last night, wishing us blessings.

Richard Berryman offered his support and says “God bless you for what you are doing!”

Rhonda Stiles, in tears, told Pastor Chick that God told her to turn around and tell him that he blessed her, he moved her. She thanked him for what he is doing and said it is good to see someone taking action!

Michael Gilbert gave him 1 liter of cold water and wished him God’s blessings.

Chris McAlister turned around and came back to read the sign on his back. After learning the reason Pastor is walking across the country, he offered him a drink and said he will put him on a prayer list.

Lonnie Williams offered his support, appreciating what Pastor is doing.

Billy Little read about Pastor and I in the Daily Sentinel and drove down the road to find him and offer him support (and get a picture of the two together).

His wife, Ozell, donated a haircut to Pastor Chick.

Below are a couple pictures of people that stopped along the road to encourage and appreciate the walk (taken from a distance.)

In some parts of US 72 the shoulder was very narrow and the ground sloped down rather steeply. I found a small level place and pulled off the road, waiting for Pastor Chick so I could give him water. While I was making calls, I looked up to see a policeman at the window on the right side of the car. He stopped to see if I was alright. After learning about the walk, he recommended that I park with my flashers on at a crossover instead of at the side of the road in these areas and if another officer stopped by, tell him I am waiting for someone.. I got a picture in my side mirror as he was leaving.

We were met and welcomed to the Town of Gurley by Mayor Robert Sentell and Pastor Shane Rodriguez from the First Baptist Church of Gurley.

The memento, a 40 day prayer guide for our nation, was received by Mayor Sentell. Both Mayor Robert Sentell and Pastor Rodriguez enjoyed looking it over.

Before Pastor Chick continued on his walk, Pastor Rodriguez prayed with and for us, praying that the news media will put the message out that America still has a chance to be blessed by God, but Americans need to respond to him.

I do not have pictures of those that showed interest except for after the walk.

At the Chinese buffet, there were several Christians that were excited about the cause we are promoting.

Mike Newsome pointed at Pastor Chick and asked “Are you the one?” Pastor Chick responded in the same way. Tim then said “I saw you on ABC news last night!” He agrees with the cause of this coast to coast walk.

I saw this man at America’s Mattress Outlet come out to greet Pastor Chick. I was later told the he said “Keep walking and keep talking!”
