May 28 Moving to Safe Station in Lexington, NC, – 1st Pentecostal Holiness Church
Before we moved, the car was locked onto the tow dolly.
We drove to the 1st Pentecostal Holiness Church and set up the motor home.
After setting up, and as we walked to the door to join them in worship, we were welcomed by Joana, Maria, and Ramone. Ramone said that he had just picked up the newspaper, The Dispatch, and had seen Pastor Chick on the front page. He recognized that this was no coincidence but was the providence of God.
As we entered the building we were warmly greeted by Pastor J.C. Miles.
As the worship began, we all sang some songs. Then Pastor J.C. asked Pastor Chick to lead all in prayer.
After the worship was over, and as we left the building, several people gathered around to meet us and learn more about the walk across America.

One more blessing for today:
We were scheduled to shift to the Randolph Baptist Association for Safe Station in Asheboro this week. However, since Pastor Chick has already walked beyond Asheboro, we decided to inquire of a church on the route in Lexington, NC. Pastor J.C. Miles, of 1st Pentecostal Holiness Church, has agreed for us to use their parking lot for a few days as Safe-Station.
Thank you to the Randolph Baptist Association for your willingness to accommodate us; and thank you to Pastor J.C. Miles for your benevolence!
